A Kitchen Renovation Project in Austin, TX

Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue! In this kitchen renovation project, our Austin architects were asked to inject a new life and personality into the space while preserving original detailing. We kept the original cherry wood cabinets, which were custom-made to match the stair railing and breakfast room built-in. To update the kitchen, we added new floor tiles, backsplash, countertops, and appliances. The custom cobalt BlueStar range takes center stage, adding an edge to the traditional space. Hand-painted blue tiles in a French-inspired pattern make up the range backsplash, tying the bold color cohesively into the room. New lighting was added in both the kitchen and dining spaces to unite them. This renovation project gives a traditional space new life and allows the family to produce restaurant-quality meals at home. Our Austin architects love this project because it shows that a dramatic transformation can occur without compromising original details.
