A Residential Architecture Project in Austin, TX

For the Pascal Lane project, our Austin architects transformed a small and closed-off kitchen into a spacious open-concept floor plan for a household that wanted to host large family gatherings with a more welcoming flow. The home’s original kitchen was cavernous and undersized for the home’s 4,000+ square feet of living space. Our team of Austin architects decided to keep the kitchen in its original location but add almost 300 square feet to accommodate a large island with seating, a scullery, and a pantry. Additionally, we removed the existing walls to open the kitchen to the main living area. Unique design features include a wall of emerald green cabinets, a custom plaster range hood, brick backsplash accents, and wire mesh front upper cabinets. The large scullery provides further storage and a practical workspace, featuring a supplemental sink and dishwasher. Across from the kitchen lies a strategically placed wet bar, separating the breakfast banquette from the main living area. Finished in matching emerald cabinets and antique mirror tile backsplash, the bar features a wine fridge, ice maker, and dual pass-throughs to the living room and patio for easy cocktail delivery. The interior renovation was finished off with a dining room and primary suite refresh to elevate the rest of the space. Outside on the patio, our architects designed a long row of built-in seating situated between the outdoor kitchen and pool. Shaded by an awning, the double benches provide spots to dine and lounge poolside at the end of the day.
